For the Last month and a half Remington has been limping and he has not been able to jump into the truck. We made him stay down for a week to see if that would help him. He wouldn't put any weight on his back left leg. Jordan usually takes him for a 4 mile run every morning behind the truck, and out to scare up pheasants; Remington loves it and he seems like he could just keep going. But Remi just hasn't been himself. so finally we bit the bullet and took him to the vet on Monday. Come to find out, Remi had torn a ligament in his knee and needed to have surgery done ASAP. So Yesterday morning we took him to the vet hospital and he was sedated to have the surgery. They had to shave his back leg and drill a hole in the femer and also the tibia and thread a thick piece of suture between the two holes to act like a new ligament, the surgery went really well and we got to bring him home this morning. My brother Matt, was so cute and thoughtful, he brought over a get well soon balloon tied to a bag af bacon beggin strips, remington's favorite treat. Thanks Matt , I love you. The recovery for Remi will take up to 3 months, so he and I will have a great bonding summer together.
