Christmas Season 2011

What a WONDERFUL time of year it is! We had such a GREAT Christmas Season! My Parents started December off with an early Christmas gift to Saviour of the World in Salt Lake City. It was so Amazing and I hope that I can go every year. Mom and Dad also took us to the Lion house for dinner and we walked around Temple square to see the amazing lights.

The Lion House had really yummy food, I got the chicken Malibu and Jordan got stuffed salmon.

our nieces and nephews that were 11 years old and older got to come too, it was fun spending some extra time with them. (Lydia, Audrey, and Makayla)

I am so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa Nelson were able to come too, they are 85 years now and are the cutest and greatest grandparents we could ask for.

Here we have me, Jodi, Makayla, Lydia, and Audrey in the restroom at the lion house restroom.

It was SO COLD but worth every minute of it to see the beautiful christmas lights at temple square

We were glad to make it to the conference center was it was nice and warm. We are so very grateful and blessed to have this gospel in our lives!

A few days after we went to temple square my mom had her surgery on her foot.

Pins and screws. That green thing coming out of her toe is a pin!

Mom had to wear this huge cast for two weeks, she is now in a walking boot for the next six weeks. She is so amazing and such a trooper, and so is my Dad, he takes such good care of her and has been doing the cooking, cleaning and hosting of the christmas partys.

The kids have fun signing, and decorating mom's cast though. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a close family.

The only day it snowed this year, well enough snow to go sledding I had to work and Jordan had the day off and he and his brother took Isaiah, Kingston, Shaylie , and Casen sledding behind the truck, looks like they had a BLAST!

It was Jordan and my turn this year to plan and be in charge of the Nelson Family Christmas party. Dad arranged for Santa to come and it was so much fun.

Some of the kids were so excited and happy to see Santa,

and others were a bit terrified and tried to run away.

Jordan and I were happy to get a picture with him though.

It was fun to have Mindy's family join the pary on skype from Kentucky. Landon, Carson, and Jaxon were sad that they couldn't sit on Santa's lap at the party but they were excited that they could see him with all of their cousins.

Mom and Dad are so cute!

It was fun to see the kids give each other their gifts that they got each other. The kids giving the gifts looked just as excited as the child recieving the gift.

What a great family party we had this year!

Santa found our house again this year and spoiled us!

Remington got spoiled too. Since Christmas was on Sunday this year, we went to sacrament meeting at 10:30 and we hit and missed some of our nieces and nephews, the only family that was home when we went to do our christmas visits was jodi's family, since they had church at one.

Lydia and MaKayla got Kindles for christmas and they loved showing us all of their games on them.Abe was just cleaning up the kitchen from their traditional Ableskiever breakfast.

Spencer got a helicopter that he can fly with a remote.

After mom and dad durfey got home form church we all met up to their home for a christmas party. Jen got released from the hospital a couple hours before the party. Ryker was born on the 21st of december.

Mom and dad gave us these beautiful mirrors that open and have a place for all of our jewelry, I love it!

Casen and Kingston got a car set that was so awesome, they were fun to watch play with them, although I think Joe had the most fun with it.

Little miss Pearl is at a fun age, and full of personality!

Isaiah and Shaylie were so excited about their very own computers.

What a cute picture of Brittany, Jerika, and Heather!

The day after christmas I gave in and got Jordan his blow up frosty the snowman that he has been wanting for years. I love after christmas sales, I also got a rudolf for Remington. We had such a Merry Christmas Season and Have been so blessed through out our lives. The year 2011 was a good year to us, we faced trials and counted blessing after blessing. We are so blessed to have each other and Family and most important of all our Saviour and this gospel in our lives. We hope you all had a great year and christmas season and we are excited to start a new year!
